What the Number One Steal an Egg Player Does Differently

Lessons from an interview with the number one Steal an Egg player at 13.1 trillion per second. Mutation hoarding, the speed flask trick, team scouting for big divines, and how little she spent.

Meet the top of the leaderboard

When a creator sat down with the number one Steal an Egg player, she was making 13.1 trillion dollars per second with 82 billion speed. The interview happened through a translator, and it was full of moments where the creator realised how far off they were. Her worst pet, a Bloom Strawberry Elephant at $230M, was one of the rarest pets in the game. Her best, the "Divine of Darkness", made around five trillion by itself. Removing it from her pen dropped her total from 13.1T to 8.2T.

Interviews like this are rare and useful, because top players usually don't explain themselves. Here's what we took from it, and how it lines up with everything else we've watched.

Lesson 1: She didn't win on Robux

Asked how much she'd spent: about 30,000 Robux. The interviewer had spent over 100,000 and made around 150 billion per second, roughly one percent of her income. They laughed it off, but it's the most important number in the interview. Steal an Egg rewards knowledge and timing far more than spending.

Lesson 2: She hoarded mutations

Her answer to "how did you become number one" was immediate: "I like to mutate eggs. When they removed the option, I saved them all until they added the new one." In other words, when mutation items vanished from the game for a while, she had a stockpile and nobody else did. When the next mutation arrived, she could apply everything to her biggest eggs at once.

She also explained the scale of it: her best pet would make only about one trillion without its mutations, against roughly five with them. And mutations stack: "There is no limit. You can mutate your pets as many times as you like." But mutation items are around only for a limited time, so you have to be smart about when you use them.

Takeaway: when a mutation shop is open, buy, even with no great egg yet. Spend the stock when a divine or a giant egg lands. Our mutation strategy guide is built around this.

Lesson 3: Divines come in different sizes per server

Her advice for starting over was "first, understand the game. Not everything is big," followed by a team strategy. When a divine or eternal spawns, it spawns in every server at the same time, but at a different size in each. Her move: form a team that finds big eggs faster. Scouts hop servers, find the biggest copy, and camp it while you join.

Takeaway: if you have friends who play, coordinate on divine spawns. Even solo, hopping a few servers after a divine announcement can turn a small copy into a giant one. See the divine hunting guide.

Lesson 4: The speed flask "nobody uses"

Asked for a secret tip, she named something sitting in plain sight: the speed booster in the Doctor's shop, fifth option, 1.25x speed for 5 minutes. "The speed multiplier allows you to get huge eggs even if you don't have enough speed… It's easy to get big eggs where most people don't use them and then they give up."

The logic is sound. Biome signs assume a light egg, and big eggs slow you down. A temporary 25% on top of your speed is exactly the margin a heavy egg needs.

Takeaway: keep a couple of flasks for big attempts. More tricks in the stealing tricks guide.

Lesson 5: She's always online

How often does she play? "All day, like 24 hours non-stop." She leaves the game running in the background while she edits videos, with the sound on, so she hears egg spawns and keeps her treadmill going. Since divines and eternals are announced only to players in the game, and some spawn at 3 a.m., being online is half the battle.

Takeaway: you don't need to play 24/7, but leaving the game open while you do something else pays off in Steal an Egg more than in most games.

Lesson 6: Scrambled on the first try (luck happens)

During the interview she helped the creator use his first Scrambled potion, about a 10% roll, and it worked first time, producing a Scrambled Spirit Manta. Her verdict on the new mutation: "very good, it makes your pets more than double the value." Our measurements put Scrambled at about 2.75x, which agrees.

Lesson 7: The top of the leaderboard is a couple

A fun bit of Steal an Egg lore: the previous number one was her boyfriend, now sitting just below her at around 6.4 trillion. They're a power couple, and both live in the trillions.

What we'd add to her advice

Her tips match what we've seen in nearly every strong run, and we'd add two of our own:

  • Claim the index constantly early on. It's the biggest free speed source.
  • Get a real weapon. At the top, everyone is fighting for the same divines, and the Hammer settles arguments.

None of it requires a big Robux budget. The leaderboard is built on patience, timing and mutation discipline, and that's good news for everyone else.
