Why we cite videos
Steal an Egg moves fast. The developers ship something new almost every week, the pet pool grows with every biome and numbers that were true in August can be wrong by October. Static wiki tables age badly, and many Steal an Egg pages copy each other's mistakes. So we took a different route: every income figure, speed requirement and multiplier on this site was read off a frame of real gameplay, and wherever possible we link to the exact second it appears.
That makes the wiki checkable. If you think a number is wrong, click the timestamp and see for yourself. If the game has changed since, you'll spot it right away.
What each source is good for
The cards above list every video we used, deduplicated (one creator uploaded the same run twice, and we only counted it once). A quick guide to which ones to watch for what:
- The #1 player interview is the best single source for habits: saving mutations, using the Doctor's speed flask, teaming up to find big divine eggs, and how much the top player actually spent (around 30,000 Robux).
- "Every mutation on every biome's best pet" is where most of our speed requirements and mutation ratios come from. The creator steals the best egg of each biome in order, then applies each mutation one by one.
- "Hatching every egg in the game" gives the complete egg pool for each biome and shows index rewards and bat skins appearing as indexes are completed.
- The free-to-play noob-to-pro run is our benchmark for zero-Robux progression and the source of the drop-and-pick-up trick.
- "Hunting every divine for days" covers the lab machine, Boss Mastery, the Wisp quest, Butterfly Bloom and the Enchanted mutation in one long session.
- The Vietnamese Sky Whale video is the clearest footage of the Spirit World Guardian fusion: two whales and two Sun Lions placed at the same time.
- The creator-panel test compares divines at identical sizes, which is the fairest way to rank them. Its eggs are admin-sized, so we label those readings and leave them out of each pet's "best reading".
Videos we looked at and did not use
Not every "steal an egg" video on YouTube is about this game. Two popular uploads we reviewed were actually other Roblox games with a similar name: one where you clone yourself and rebirth, another where you break eggs with pickaxes. Neither has guardians, speed walls or the same pets, so nothing from them appears here. A third video had only music in its subtitle track and gave us no usable numbers. If you're researching Steal an Egg, check that the video shows sleeping guardians and a pen before you trust its numbers.
How we turn footage into data
For each fact we look for the moment the game itself displays it:
- Income is read from the pet's label or the pen total, together with the egg's weight and any mutations visible on the pet.
- Speed requirements are read from the sign at each biome entrance, cross-checked against at least two runs.
- Multipliers are calculated only where the same egg is shown with different mutations. Otherwise size differences would swamp the result.
- Odds (10% Scrambled, 1% Strawberry Elephant, 1.5% Monstrous chest, 0.5% Skeletal Sabertooth) are quoted from the in-game text read out in the video, not estimated from luck.
- Prices come from the shop screens. Robux prices vary by region and sales (we've seen a 450-Robux pass sold for 190), so we give ranges.
Creator-panel and admin footage
Several creators have access to a creator or admin panel that can spawn any pet at any size. Those clips are great for comparisons. They show what a divine looks like with every mutation, and how big a 100x egg gets. But the numbers aren't reachable in a normal server, and everything resets when they leave. On this site, readings from those clips are labelled "admin-size" and never used as a pet's headline value.
Language coverage
Most sources are English, but we also used Arabic and Vietnamese footage. Numbers read the same in every language, and the Vietnamese video in particular documents a fusion nobody else had shown clearly. The Chinese version of this site is written for Chinese-speaking players from the same data.
Want your video considered?
If you've recorded something we don't cover yet, such as a new biome, a badge popup or a clean multiplier comparison, it can make our numbers better. What helps most: the egg's weight and mutation visible on screen, the income label readable, and the game version or date mentioned.
