The newest biome
The Enchanted Forest arrived with a big Admin Abuse update. The gates came down, a cutscene played, and after a beanstalk mini game the new zone opened at the end of the track. It needs 50 billion speed, the highest sign in Steal an Egg, and it's packed with systems: a quest companion, a hidden room, a rhythm puzzle, a butterfly event and a new mutation. Its divine, the Royal Sky Whale, is the strongest pet you can steal, and the key ingredient for the strongest pet you can make.
This guide goes through it in the order you'll meet it.
Before you go: 50B speed
Plan on getting to 50B speed before anything else. The Guardian treadmill (34M per step) and the Moon Bloom trail are the late-game tools. One run went from 30B to 50B in a couple of minutes with both plus the x4,000 multiplier, which is fast once you're set up. If you're short, the drop-and-pick-up trick works on small Enchanted eggs too, but the Wisp quest needs 20 of them, so you want real speed.
The Wisp quest
Walk into the forest and you'll find a small floating light: the Wisp, "the spirit of the enchanted tree". It has lost its power, and a seal blocks the tree's entrance. Talk to it, accept the quest, and it follows you around as a little companion.
The quest has stages:
- Steal 20 Enchanted Forest eggs. Small ones are fine, since big eggs mean a faster guardian. This is mostly running back and forth. Tip: accept the quest first. Eggs stolen before you accept don't count.
- Fuse an Enchanted Forest animal. Hatch your eggs and put three of the same pet, three Jackalopes for example, into the Fuse Machine. Don't sell the duplicates before this step (one creator did, and had to go back for more).
- Steal any eternal. Any eternal from anywhere, but it has to be after you've reached this stage. This is the slow part, because it depends on spawns. The Celestial Sun Lion is the Enchanted Forest's own eternal and the natural target.
- Return the Wisp. Hand over the eternal ("I have to give up my buddy"), lead the Wisp back to the tree, and the door opens.
Inside the Enchanted Tree
Behind the door is a room with three things you want:
- The Butterfly Net, free to pick up. You need it for Butterfly Bloom.
- The fusion spots used for the Spirit World Guardian (see the fusion guide).
- Access to magic stairs that need the banjo.
The mushroom and banjo puzzle
Near the tree, a set of mushrooms light up in a sequence. Hit them with your bat in the same order. Walking into them doesn't count, which stumped at least one creator for a while. Get it right and a small bug NPC (no shoes, as one player noticed) offers a rhythm mini game. The pattern is random per player: one account's version swung left, another's swung right.
Finish it and you get:
- An egg (size varies a lot; one player got a huge one, another a tiny one).
- A limited Banjo. Equip it to play a song.
Play the banjo at the right spot and magic stairs appear, leading to a hidden room with a machine that wants a divine. We haven't seen it fully used on camera yet, so treat that room as a work in progress.
Butterfly Bloom and Enchanted Essence
Butterfly Bloom is a repeating event inside the forest. With the net equipped:
- Swing at butterflies to catch them. Standing still and swinging as they fly past works better than chasing.
- Watch for the Golden Radiant butterfly. It's rare, glowing, and it escapes often. One creator caught their first after three misses.
- Butterflies and amethysts combine into Enchanted Essence at the crafting spot. "I'm three amethysts away" is a common complaint, so several blooms may be needed.
Enchanted Essence applies the Enchanted mutation at 100%, with no fizzles, and it stacks with other mutations. Results we've seen: a big egg with Scrambled + Enchanted came out at $93B, and a 43,000 kg forest secret with Golden + Scrambled + Enchanted made $73B.
The Enchanted Forest pet pool
- Jackalope, the quest fuse fodder.
- Panda (about $4.3B for a massive one) and Star Fox ($1.6–3B).
- Crab, a secret.
- Amethyst Rune Bear, a rainbow secret from the beanstalk event.
- Celestial Sun Lion, the eternal. Usually small, but a 451,000 kg one hit $15B.
- Royal Sky Whale, the divine. Spawn times are random, so keep the game running.
The payoff: Spirit World Guardian
Once the tree is open, two whales and two Sun Lions make a Spirit World Guardian, recorded at $2.2 trillion per second with three mutations. That's the endgame of the current Steal an Egg. Everything in this guide (speed, the Wisp, the net, the essence) builds toward it. Full recipe on the Spirit World Guardian page.
